Ocean Room (3-4 years)

LEAD TEACHER, JENNIFER KUKULKA

Ms. Jenn works full time, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the Ocean Room. She has a degree from Graceland University. Jenn joined our team in 2006 and is CPR and First Aid certified.

 ENVIRONMENT

• A fun, friendly room where sharing and the refinement of social skills are encouraged
• The environment is changed to support the lesson plans
• Meals are served family style
• This room is licensed for up to twelve children

CURRICULUM

• Lesson plans consist of activities in social emotional growth, motor skill development, acquisition of language, cognitive development and Christianity
• Activities are planned using individual time, small groups, large groups, and music and movement
• Children are exposed to all areas of develoment through theme-based units that encourage exploration and curiosity
• Children begin practicing writing skills by participating in activities that work their small muscle groups

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

• Teacher encourages and welcomes parent participation and involvement
