LEAD TEACHER, ASHLEY NETSON

Ms. Ashley works from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  She earned a degree in Human Services with emphasis in youth and child care from Washburn University.  Ashley has been working with children since 2006.  She began working at Hillcrest in 2011. 

 

ASSISTANT TEACHER, LORI HARMON

Ms. Lori  began working in our Infant/Toddler Program in 2000 and is a full time teacher in the Infant Room, working from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  She earned a B.S. degree in Home Economics and is CPR and First Aid certified.

 

 

ENVIRONMENT

  • A loving, nurturing environment where each child’s individual needs are met through qualified, very experienced teachers
  • A safe environment where infants can explore and discover their identity and surroundings
  • Bottle feeding is always with an adult caregiver
  • The environment is changed to support the lesson plans
  • This classroom is licensed for up to six infants

CURRICULUM

  • Lesson plans consist of activities in social emotional growth, motor skill development, acquisition of language, cognitive development and Christianity
  • Activities are planned using individual time, small groups, large groups, and music and movement
  • Teachers promote every area of children’s development through personal interactions, educational toys and materials and exploratory walks throughout the premises
